LBC Access Update

September 3, 2021
3:30 p.m.

Dear Tulane Community:

We are now able to extend the hours that the Lavin-Bernick Center for University Life (LBC) is available to faculty and staff. Beginning tomorrow, Saturday 9/4, the first and garden levels of the LBC will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Sunday, including Labor Day on Monday, 9/6. Faculty and staff may visit the LBC to charge devices, use WiFi, and enjoy the cool air.

Please remember that staffing will be limited and no services or resources will be provided beyond basic security; food service in the Dining Room at the Commons is only available to essential personnel engaged in the recovery of our campuses; and, to ensure that our emergency and repair workers have the necessary access to conduct their work, faculty and staff are not permitted to park on Law Road, on-campus anywhere between Freret and Willow (including Newcomb Circle, Newcomb Place, Drill Rd, McAlister Drive, Weinmann Road, and Audubon/Zimple Lots), in the Diboll Parking Garage, or in the Claiborne Avenue Lot.

At this time, all other buildings on our campuses are closed to everyone but essential personnel engaged in the recovery of our campuses, with the exception of critical lab spaces that are being coordinated directly.

Thank you for your understanding, compliance, and support during this time,

The Office of Emergency Preparedness & Response
