The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology has a robust education and research program consisting of two Master's Programs, a Ph.D. program, and a dual MD/Ph.D. program.
Our one-year Master of Science program is primarily designed to enrich and improve academic credentials of students to gain entrance into medical-, dental- or health profession-related schools. The two-year program is designed to provide advanced training in the biochemical sciences and prepare students for a career in research.
The Ph.D. program is within the framework of the Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences. Areas of research strength include growth signaling and cancer, DNA and RNA binding proteins, and protein/peptide structure, function and folding.Â
