Tulane has restricted all non-essential university-related international and domestic travel. All non-essential university related travel is cancelled. Exceptions can be submitted to the provost. Please Avoid unnecessary travel.
Employees that are in a country with a CDC level 3 travel advisory and/or a State Department level 4 travel advisory for university business or academic purposes need to leave the country. The university is communicating directly with students in the impacted study abroad programs and is working with those students to ensure either their safe return to the U.S. or placement in other programs to minimize disruption to their academic studies.
Upon your return to the U.S. from a CDC Level 3 Travel Advisory country, you will need to self-isolate, per CDC guidance. This includes not coming to Tulane’s campuses until after the 14-day isolation period.
Tulane has restricted all non-essential international and domestic travel. Requests for exceptions to this policy should be sent to the Office of Academic Affairs and Provost, for review by the Provost. Please send any requests to Kady Weingart (provost@tulane.edu) for processing. The full Tulane travel advisory provides additional information.
If you are a faculty or staff member whose university-related travel plans may change or get cancelled (i.e. a conference that is cancelled), please reach out to Laney Armstrong for assistance with facilitating these travel changes. Additional information about changing university-related travel can be found here.
Tulane is restricting all non-essential international and domestic travel. All non-essential university related travel is cancelled. Exceptions can be submitted to the provost. From now until the end of the Spring semester, no student, staff, or faculty member will be required to undertake any international travel or any domestic travel by plane that is not critical for our operations. If such travel was planned, and the community member chooses to cancel, we will do our best to provide appropriate alternatives.
If you are traveling abroad on university business, we encourage you to follow the instructions and recommendations put forward by your host organization/local authorities regarding any precautions that support the prevention of a community outbreak.
Please make sure you have registered with Global Rescue as this is required of all travelers on university-related business and study to ensure that we are able to locate travelers whenever necessary and offer support, including evacuation assistance, as needed.
