The Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine has been a leader in the field of public health for more than 100 years. We use immersive scenarios and environmental science to tackle the most critical issues of our time such as the COVID-19 pandemic, H1N1 and more.

At any stage of your professional career, our program in Disaster Management teaches you how to identify, prevent, and ease public health problems and threats on local and global levels alike. Students gain the critical skills necessary to protect communities from natural, accidental, and intentional disasters, including those which disproportionately affect the most vulnerable populations.

Since 2006, our graduates have earned leadership roles in the New Orleans Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness, the New Orleans Health Department, and other positions specializing in disaster resilience across the region.
