Student Testing Updates for Spring Semester

Dear Tulane Community,

In order to protect and support the campus community and city residents, Tulane has enacted extensive programs for testing and tracing, as well as guidelines and interventions to promote safety and supports for mental health and wellness.

Testing Frequency

Students are required to participate in ongoing surveillance testing throughout the semester regardless of vaccine status or the presence of antibodies from a previous COVID-19 infection. Please review current frequency requirements online on the COVID-19 resources website.

All students participating in the surveillance testing program will receive QR codes via e-mail from no-reply@lablynx.com to present at the testing site. QR codes are to be used in the order of the dates in which you receive the email.  Upon receipt of your QR code, utilize the Tulane Campus Health Patient Portal to set appointments.

Campus Health will work with students who test positive to determine participation requirements in the surveillance testing program.

All students who test positive outside of the Tulane Testing Program must submit documentation through the COVID-19 Reporting Form.

All students are required to participate in contact tracing to limit the spread of COVID-19.

Health Acknowledgment Form & COVID-19 Training

All undergraduate, graduate and professional students need to complete the revised health acknowledgment form and the COVID-19 Training from Campus Health. Please complete these by Jan. 22.

New Flu Vaccine Requirement

New for spring, all students* are required to receive a flu vaccine. Contact the Student Health Center to schedule your flu shot appointment.
 
*Students with medical, religious or personal reasons can submit an exemption form.

Vaccine Information

We will share regular updates with our community as more information about vaccine administration becomes available. If you are starting a vaccine series with a healthcare provider at home, please make sure you will be able to complete the series with that provider. More information and FAQs are posted on the COVID-19 Resources website.

Mental Health & Wellness

We recognize that mental health and wellness are a struggle for all during this challenging time. We are continuing to bolster support and services to address this important issue.

Wellness App: In February, Campus Health will launch an app called You at College, a comprehensive well-being portal for students, faculty and staff. This portal is adaptable to any device and contains personalized resources, including those provided by the university. More information will be coming soon!
