Dear Students:
We have received several questions regarding the masking policy inside the Reily Student Recreation Center. The current policy is in alignment with the City of New Orleans policy regarding indoor spaces, which specifically includes fitness centers.
With the highest risk for COVID-19 transmission occurring in indoor settings, masks are required, regardless of vaccination status, in all indoor public and common spaces on campus including basketball courts, weight rooms, and other exercise spaces within the Reily Center.
While there are a variety of acceptable masks, Tulane strongly recommends the use of a KN95 mask.
Whether fully vaccinated or unvaccinated, you are required to wear a mask in indoor public places.
Non-Compliance with masking in the Reily Center may result in removal from the facility and suspension of privileges for one week or longer. In addition, spaces within the Reily Center may have to be closed if non-compliance is an issue.
