Fall 2021 Webinar: Answering Your Questions

August 6, 2021

Dear Tulanians,

We eagerly anticipate the Fall 2021 semester and are excited to welcome our new and returning students, along with many parents, for move-in and orientation which occurs between Sunday, August 15 through Monday, August 23. President Fitts and Tulane leaders will host a webinar to detail our plans for the coming semester and update you regarding the state of COVID-19 on Thursday, August 12th at 6:00 p.m. CDT. We look forward to answering your questions and encourage all new and returning students, as well as parents, to register HERE for the webinar. In addition, please look for a separate, detailed update early next week regarding our plans for the Fall semester.

The health and safety of the Tulane community remains our number one priority. Vaccines are the best line of defense against COVID-19 and I am pleased to report a vaccination rate of over 90% for Tulane employees and over 95% for students. If you have not done so, please use the Campus Health patient portal to report your vaccination status immediately.

Tulane’s comprehensive planning served as a model for higher education through the last year and a half.  We conducted nearly half a million COVID-19 tests, administered thousands of vaccines and enforced strict safety protocols on and off campus. You – our students and parents – have been central to that success. Now, we must all remain vigilant and flexible as Tulanians return for another year of on-campus living, learning, work and research.

We look forward to addressing our students and parents this coming Thursday, August 12th – and we can’t wait to welcome you to campus!
