COVID-19 Testing: Sept. 27 - Oct. 30

September 27, 2021

Dear Tulane Community:

COVID-19 testing is a core part of Tulane's comprehensive COVID-19 strategy. Our new schedule for testing through October is outlined below. We are also continuing with contact tracing, mandatory face coverings indoors, and good hand hygiene.

ALL Faculty, Staff, Undergraduate, Graduate, and Professional Students are REQUIRED to complete COVID-19 testing within 72 hours of receiving their QR code.

Information in this email applies to employees on both the uptown and downtown campuses, and all students — undergraduate, graduate, professional, and anyone who lives on or off campus. All plans are subject to change.

You should complete the online COVID-19 Reporting Form if you have:

  • tested positive for the virus on or off campus or

  • believe you or another person is a close contact.

This information is critical to help us manage the testing schedule for individuals who have recovered from COVID infection.

Planned Testing Schedule For 9/27-10/30/2021
  • All undergraduate students will be required to test weekly.

  • All graduate and professional students are required to test weekly.

  • Employees are required to test every two weeks.

  • Any individual receiving a QR Code must schedule their test as directed in the testing email.

The Tulane Testing Centers, both downtown (LaSalle) 226 South Villere Street, next to Tulane Hospital’s LaSalle Garage exit, and uptown (Phelps) are open. A new uptown testing location is also now available – the 1834 Club in the LBC. Tests are administered by appointment only.

  • LaSalle (Downtown) is available for employees, undergraduate, graduate and professional students.

  • Phelps (Uptown) is exclusively for undergraduate students.

  • 1834 is available for graduate, professional students and employees.

Test results are processed by the Tulane School of Medicine Laboratory. Expect results to be returned within 24-36 hours. You will receive an email and/or phone call with your results. If you do not receive results after 36 hours, please email CHTestResults@tulane.edu.

The Tulane Testing Centers, the Living Well Clinics and all Campus Health locations work by appointment. Please do not show up unless directed to do so via phone or email or without a scheduled appointment and a new QR code.
