Transformation
From state-of-the-art living and learning spaces to improved safety measures and vibrant campus enhancements, Tulane's commitment to growth and progress is evident.

$5.2 Billion Economic Impact on Louisiana
With an annual economic impact of $5.2 billion in Louisiana, Tulane’s unique ability to attract external funding through research grants, philanthropic donations and pioneering initiatives such as the Innovation Institute has catalyzed job creation and the emergence of a dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem in the New Orleans region, Louisiana and beyond.

Transformative Home for Science and Engineering
Thanks to a lead $10 million gift from Tulane graduates Steven (’72, ’75) and Jann (’72) Paul, the Steven and Jann Paul Hall for Science and Engineering opened this year. The state-of-the-art building promises to take interdisciplinary research and innovation at Tulane to a global level. Paul Hall includes laboratories, core facilities, an auditorium and student gathering and study areas. Tulane also received $5 million in state and federal funding to build a cleanroom in Paul Hall for advanced semiconductor and materials science research.

Tulane Doctors Extend Their Reach
The New Orleans region gained more access to Tulane Doctors as they spread to new locations as part of the School of Medicine's ongoing partnership with LCMC Health. This move expanded local access to comprehensive and specialty care, advancing academic medicine and boosting innovation and training opportunities across a broader footprint in the Gulf South region. Tulane providers can now be seen at East Jefferson General and Lakeside Hospitals in Metairie, Touro Infirmary LCMC Health uptown, Lakeview Medical Center in Covington and University Medical Center in downtown New Orleans.

Newcomb Hall Renovation
Newcomb Hall, the iconic centerpiece of the School of Liberal Arts, began a major renovation this summer, turning the historic 92,000-square-foot space into a dynamic, light-filled hub for this historic part of campus. The goal is to create spaces that mirror the vitality of interdisciplinary learning.

Remarkable Residences
Tulane is scaling up housing capacity and transforming residential life with The Village, the largest capital investment in Tulane’s history. River and Lake Residence Halls opened in Fall 2023, welcoming approximately 700 returning sophomore and junior students and offering a blend of residential suites and academic and communal gathering spaces, bolstering the undergraduate student experience on campus. Construction is well underway on Phase II: Avron and Wendy Fogelman Hall and Bayou Hall, which are scheduled to open in Fall 2025 with 750+ beds and three apartments — one for Faculty-in-Residence and two for staff.
