Make a Bold Move

Overview

The Tulane University 2020 Peace Corps and Fulbright Initiative is making graduate study more accessible to U.S.  Peace Corps volunteers (PCVs) and Fulbright student grantees called back from international placements because of concerns over the spread of COVID-19.

As a university with a strong tradition of public service and global studies, Tulane is offering significant tuition scholarships toward the entire cost of degree programs for returning PCVs and Fulbright student grantees.

This scholarship is available to recently returned PCVs and Fulbright student grantees who are admitted to and enter Tulane graduate programs starting in summer 2020, fall 2020, and spring 2021.

Participating Tulane programs are located both at Tulane campuses in New Orleans and through online/remote programs. Please refer to the specific program information for applicable application process and deadline.

Individual programs will place time limits on the scholarship, requiring that the degree program be completed within a given number of school semesters.

Tulane's Commitment

This initiative features the following:

  • Expedited admission: Applications for summer and fall will be reviewed and decisions rendered within 10 business days of submission of all requested application materials.
  • Significant tuition scholarships: Depending on the individual program and school’s tuition rates, scholarships will range from 25 to 50% of the entire program’s tuition. In some cases, this 2020 Peace Corps and Fulbright student granteeship may be combined with additional Tulane sources, resulting in even greater financial support, including full tuition plus stipends for some Ph.D. programs.

Documentation

As part of the application process, Peace Corps volunteers will be asked to provide a copy of their “Description of Service” (DOS).

Fulbright student grantees will be asked to provide a copy of their “Terms and Conditions” or “Certificate of Completion.”
