Xavier/Tulane 3 + 2 Program

This program is for students to attend Xavier University in New Orleans to complete coursework towards a science major and then to transfer to Tulane to complete the requirements for an engineering degree in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Engineering Physics. At Xavier, students will take three years of basic science, mathematics, engineering, and liberal arts courses. When the program at Xavier is completed successfully, students will transfer to Tulane. Students who take a normal course load and who express interest in the program early are expected to be able to complete their undergraduate training at Xavier in three years and at Tulane in two years. After successful completion of the program, the student will be awarded the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from Xavier University and the Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B. S. E.) degree from Tulane.

Dual Degree Programs with Johns Hopkins and Vanderbilt Universities

Dual degree students spend three years in the study of Physics at Tulane and two years studying a specific engineering discipline. After successful completion of the fifth year, the student is awarded the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Physics from Tulane University and the Bachelor of Engineering (B. E.) degree from Vanderbilt or a second Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from Johns Hopkins. Disciplines available at Johns Hopkins include: civil, electrical, environmental, and mechanical engineering. Disciplines available at Vanderbilt include civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering.
