Plans are being finalized for the school’s annual open house to welcome prospective graduate students.  For the second year in a row, open house attendees will also have the opportunity to attend the Global Health Summit, an event produced by the Student Government Association held concurrently with open house.

The open house will include tours of the departments and classrooms, a crawfish boil at beautiful Audubon Park, and a number of interactive Q&A events.

The second annual Global Health Summit will explore the theme of #OneWorldProblems, highlighting the interconnectedness among health concerns and issues across the globe. Anticipated summit speakers include France Donnay, senior program officer with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; Karen DeSalvo, health commissioner for the City of New Orleans; and Candy Chang, artist, designer, and urban planner who uses interactive art to advocate for improving communities and making them more comfortable for residents.

Registration and schedules for both events will be posted soon.
