Draw Differently Workshop

Location: Uptown Campus
Richardson Memorial


Annual Workshop hosted by Alpha Rho Chi that brings in an architecture professional for a weekend to teach a digital or material technique.  Final result is a gallery display of all work produced and an artifact each participant can keep. The workshop will be lead by two of the principals of the award winning firm T+E+A+M who have had work shown at the Venice Biennial, the A+D Museum and were recently featured on the cover of Metropolis Magazine.

TET Vietnamese New Year Festival Field Trip

Location: Uptown Campus

Vietnamese New Year Festival is a unique celebration of Vietnamese New Year traditions in New Orleans, Louisiana. Held at the principal parish for the community, Mary Queen of Vietnam Church, thousands attend to ring in the New Year with firecrackers, fireworks, services and dragon dances. There's folk music, dancers and traditional games as traditional Vietnamese delicacies including banh mi, grilled meats and exotic fruit drinks are served alongside inspired classics such as Vietnamese po-boys.
