Dec. 12, 2012 (12-12-12) is the last date of numerical coincidence that we’ll see for another 89 years. If you stick around long enough to see Jan. 1, 2101 (01-01-01) you’ll have another chance to make it count, but if you’d rather live in the moment then you’ll want to start thinking of something amazing you can do to lock in a memory on this last-in-a-lifetime date!

Here are 12 ideas to consider in commemorating your 12-12-12:

#1 Do nothing. The world around you will keep moving even if you stop. Take the day to slow down, think about today and plan your future.

#2 Thousands will tie the knot on this day, but if you aren’t ready for marriage just yet or you’re already married, do something romantic for your true love.

#3 Hand-write a note to someone and be sure to date it 12-12-12.

#4 Gifts are fun items that a person wants but might not buy for themselves. Think of one and buy it for yourself.

#5 Do something childish — gather your young family members and take them to a park. Hitch a ride on the merry-go-round or see how high you can swing.

#6 Dance in public or, better yet, arrange a flash mob!

#7 Try a new recipe (or an old one that you love).

#8 Host a small party.

#9 Make a final decision about that thing you’ve been toying with for months.

#10 Learn about the upcoming “end date” on Dec. 21, 2012, as predicted by the Maya calendar. If nothing else, it's interesting stuff.

#11 Face what scares you.

#12 Create a family time capsule.
