Tulane alumnus and Saints fan Jeremie Ertle of New Orleans will be in that number on Oct. 21 when the Saints play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Tampa, Fla. He had the lucky raffle ticket for the game-day package offered by the Helluva Hullabaloo Auction.
Ertle is a 2002 graduate of the A. B. Freeman School of Business. By participating in the raffle, he and the other ticket holders showed their support for Tulane student-athletes. All proceeds from the Helluva Hullabaloo Auction benefit the Green Wave athletics department.
Each $25 raffle ticket offered a chance for two 50 yard line club seats for the Saints–Buccaneers game, plus pregame sideline passes, pregame meal, parking, two nights stay and airfare, valued at $2,600. The winning ticket was drawn during the alumni tailgating event at the University of Louisiana–Lafayette vs. Tulane football game on Saturday (Oct. 6).
Sports-related items — trips, memorabilia and tickets — comprise just one of the categories going up for bids in the Helluva Hullabaloo Auction and Party
, slated for Nov. 2 in the Lavin-Bernick Center on the Tulane uptown campus as part of Homecoming Weekend. Tulane supporters will be bidding on travel opportunities, tickets to top entertainment events, hotel and restaurant packages and many other offerings.
Prior to the live and silent auctions at the party, a slate of items also will go up for auction online on Oct. 18 on Charitybuzz.com
Another raffle is already under way. Chances are being sold for $50 each for a Rolex Datejust watch valued at $6,600. The raffle drawing will be held during the homecoming football game on Nov. 3.
