Clinics at Tulane Medical Center and Tulane-Lakeside Hospital will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday (Aug. 28–29) due to the expected landfall in southeast Louisiana of Hurricane Isaac.

All elective surgeries on those days have been rescheduled, according to hospital spokeswoman Sarah Balyeat.

Tulane University School of Medicine classes, in accordance with other university classes, also will not meet on Tuesday and Wednesday.

While physicians will not see patients at office visits on Tuesday and Wednesday, Tulane Medical Center is open and operating as usual for its in-patient care. Clinic services are expected to resume by Thursday.

Hospital officials will post updates online at Tulanehealthcare.com.
