Mardi Gras ladders provide the littlest parade goers with a great view of the masked riders, high-kicking majorettes and flashy flambeaux carriers during Carnival. Sitting above the street is a great advantage for catching coveted beads and doubloons. And just like the parade participants, parade watchers adorn their ladders with equal amounts of creativity and mirth.Get in the mood for the big parade weekend by watching this video, featuring the song "Feet Can't Fail Me Now." Originally by the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, it is performed by the Tulane University Marching Band and arranged by Mark Lighthiser, assistant director of bands.
