The Newcomb Archives and Vorhoff Library Special Collections are located within the Newcomb Research Center, on the first floor of Caroline Richardson Building at 62 Newcomb Place, Tulane University Building #84. The building is between the Woldenberg Art Center and the Student Health Services Building just inside the Willow Street entrance to the Newcomb Quad, between Broadway and Calhoun streets. Consult the Tulane campus map.


We are open to the public 12pm  4pm Monday through Friday and by appointment. Please contact Chloe Raub at to schedule research appointments.

The Newcomb Archives will be closed on Friday May 13th and on Friday May 20th.

Summer 2016 hours: The Newcomb Archives will be open by appointment only June 1st through August 28th. Reading room public hours will resume August 29th.


During weekends, center visitors may park in front of Caroline Richardson Building. However, on weekdays from 8am to 7pm, visitors without a Tulane parking permit must park in the guest parking lot in the Diboll Parking Structure on Ben Weiner Drive. Street parking is also available on Broadway and on the streets intersecting Broadway.
