Myriam implements and oversees the Public Service Internship Program and International Programs. She recruits and advises students about internship opportunities both in New Orleans and abroad and supports student interns by conducting weekly seminar meetings. She is also responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Tulane academic and non-academic departments and local partners so as to provide high-quality, meaningful internship experiences to Tulane students while supporting the community. Myriam has been working at Tulane for several years, both as faculty and staff. She received her Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology from Tulane and her B.A. and M.A. in Anthropology from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. While she has lived, studied, and/or done research in France, Germany, and the Caribbean, she calls New Orleans home and has a special commitment to the city. Outside of work, you might run into her second lining or enjoying local festivals.
