Special Weekend Hours for Tulane Students Seeking Services/Guidance

Dear Tulane Student Community,
 
We realize the past 48-72 hours have been stressful and challenging for all of you as Tulane, the nation and the world have navigated the changes associated with COVID-19. In addition, the unexpected death of one of our students last evening may have magnified normal feelings of uncertainty and anxiousness. We want you to know we realize you are moving through an unprecedented set of circumstances and we are here to support you.

This afternoon from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., the Undergraduate Student Government and Student Affairs staff will be hosting a gathering space for any students who have questions about the remainder of the term, need assistance, or have questions. This will be held in the LBC on the Mezzanine.

The Division of Student Affairs and Newcomb-Tulane College will be providing weekend hours in the following offices for any student who has a question, is in need of assistance, or just wants to talk. You do not need an appointment; simply walk in.

SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

  • Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs (LBC G03) – For general assistance if you are not sure where to find an answer to your question
  • Office of the Dean of Students (LBC G03) – For students with special circumstances this semester or who need assistance with issues they are facing
  • Newcomb Tulane College (Cudd Hall Lobby and Mussafer Hall) – for help with questions related to academic courses, class credits, etc.
  • Housing and Residence Life (Irby Hall) – for any questions about move-out, staying in residence halls through the end of the Spring term
  • The Office of Multicultural Affairs (LBC Ground Floor) – for any students currently utilizing the "O"'s services who might need additional assistance
  • Office of New Student and Leadership Programs (LBC G01) – For general assistance and information on staying involved while taking on-line classes

SATURDAY ONLY 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

  • Student Health, including Walk In Services with CAPS Therapists, will be available in the Student Health Center.
