Campus Health Update – Testing Requirements

August 26, 2021

Dear Tulane Community,

To protect and support the campus community as well as city residents, Tulane has enacted extensive programs for testing and contact tracing in addition to guidelines and interventions that promote safety, mental health and wellness.

Testing Requirements

Undergraduate, graduate, professional students, and employees are required to participate in ongoing surveillance testing. Unvaccinated individuals are REQUIRED to test within 48 hours of receiving a QR code. Vaccinated individuals are required to test within 72 hours of receiving their QR code.

When you are required to test, you will receive QR codes via email from no-reply@lablynx.com to present at the testing site. QR codes are to be used in the order of the dates in which you receive the email.  Upon receipt of your QR code, utilize the Tulane Campus Health Patient Portal to set appointments. Appointments are required.

Anyone testing positive outside of the Tulane Testing Program must submit documentation through the COVID-19 Reporting Form.

Important Reminders

Test results are processed by the Tulane School of Medicine Laboratory. Results should be returned within 24-36 hours. You will receive an email and/or phone call with your results. If you do not receive results by 36 hours, please email CHTestResults@tulane.edu.

If you test positive for COVID-19, Campus Health staff will help you determine next steps. Tulane Contact Tracers will also contact you to help coordinate notifications, tracing, disinfection, etc.

If you are a student and have been exposed to COVID-19 or are experiencing symptoms that could be indicative of COVID-19, please visit the Student Health Center. The Living Well Clinic is available for employees who have been exposed to COVID-19 or are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
