Tulane University’s Federal Work-Study Community Service Program provides Tulane students with valuable work experience while addressing critical social and academic needs of children in the Greater New Orleans area. All community service programs are designed to improve the quality of life of inner-city and/or public school children, as well as teachers, counselors, and principals. Although the program focuses primarily on academics, mentoring is another important role played by Tulane students. Placements in programs include both on and off campus sites working with elementary to high school students.
Students who are eligible to receive Federal Work-Study and who desire to make a difference in the lives of children in the community should participate in Tulane University’s community service programs.
