Workforce Management announces the implementation of two new administrative systems: Human Capital Management (HCM) powered by Oracle and Kronos, an electronic timekeeping system. These two implementations are part of a wider technological upgrade undertaken by Tulane University in 2012, beginning with the upgrade of the TAMS system. These changes are being made to support the University’s goals of improving its technology infrastructure and adopting best business practices.
This one system will replace three WFMO systems currently in use: TUJobs, Benefit Focus and PeopleFlow. By providing an end-to-end electronic solution to manage the employee life cycle, HCM will increase productivity, lessen processing time for new hires, reduce administrative costs and provide an array of management reports to assist departments in containing costs. HCM will go live on July 2, 2013.
The introduction of Kronos, an electronic timekeeping system, going live on June 28, 2013, signals an important shift from paper to electronic systems for all staff and student employees at Tulane University. A number of Tulane departments have been using electronic timekeeping for years, including Facilities, TUPD and the TNPRC Vet Med department.
