Information About the Employee Assistance Program

Tulane recognizes that the recent storm, Isaac, with its timing and with its long duration, has tested everyone’s nerves at one level or another.
Workforce Management reminds you that Tulane provides counseling services, free of charge, to any Tulane employee or family member.
Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) Counselors are available to assist you with a variety of personal issues, including:

• Managing Emotions
• Handling Day-to-Day issues
• Succeeding at Work
• Enhancing Relationships
• Optimizing Health

We encourage you or your family members to take advantage of this confidential EAP service now or in the future.

Special EAP Sessions

We would also like to invite you to take a few minutes to focus on your own reactions to Hurricane Isaac by taking advantage of a debriefing session facilitated by the EAP.
 
The goal of these sessions is to:

• Provide information about dealing with the stress and anxiety associated with Hurricane Isaac
• Allow the opportunity to express your thoughts and feelings in a safe and confidential environment
• Allow time for employees to comfort and support each other with the additional support of trained crisis counselors

We are scheduling one hour sessions on each campus.  Watch for an email with the details for these sessions.
