Regarding Key Returns:

You must complete a Forwarding Form and indicate that you are returning to campus in the Fall by May 31st.
Failure to fully complete the form will result in the cancellation of your current campus mailbox assignment.
If you did not complete the form and you are in fact returning, you will be assigned a new box number once your status has been reconfirmed by Housing and Residence Life. back to top

No, Campus mailboxes are only available to students living in university housing. back to top

We are unable to hold boxes for students temporarily not living on campus. Once you return to campus housing you will be able to apply for a new mailbox assignment. back to top
I don’t know what my status will be this Fall, how should I complete the form?
Your best bet would be to indicate that you will be living on campus, that way your mailbox will be held at least until mid July when we get final confirmation from Housing of your status. You can always update your status by emailing email@example.com. back to top
Yes, all USPS Priority, First class, and periodical rate mail and packages will be forwarded to the address provided on your forwarding/renewal form. Items sent by private carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL) cannot be forwarded and will be returned to the sender.
Also mail cannot be forwarded to an international address. Mail without a domestic forwarding address will be held at Mail Operations until the fall semester begins.
We will begin forwarding all mail the third week of May.
We will stop forwarding for returning students until August 1st. back to top
Will you forward packages during the summer?
Only packages sent via USPS First Class, Priority, or Express will be forwarded, private carriers will be returned to the sender, make sure you change your address especially for online shopping sites. back to top
Use whatever address you want your mail to be sent to during the summer. You can do a change of forwarding address to your new local off campus address at any time by completing a new Mail Forwarding Form back to top
Any changes to your forwarding address or campus status after May 31st must be submitted via email to firstname.lastname@example.org Keep in mind that due to high forwarding volume, changes can take up to 5 business days to process. back to top
No, the USPS does not offer forwarding from a University address, this is a service that Tulane Mail Services provides. back to top

Yes, you must make a change of address at Gibson Online this is done from the Registrar’s website.
You should also make sure to change your address with any online shopping sites (Amazon, Ebay, etc.) that you frequently use.
If you were employed by Tulane you must also complete a new Payroll/Personal Information form so that any outstanding Direct Deposit Advices and W-2’s will be sent to the correct address. These forms are available on the web from Tulane Workforce Management. back to top
Mail is received and processed for forwarding on a daily basis during the summer, as the volume of forwarded mail is much higher during this time it may take more than one day to process everything. Once processed it is turned over to the USPS for redelivery to your new address. The USPS does not give priority status to forwarded mail so it is not unusual for delays in receiving forwarded mail. back to top
Yes, ALL mailbox keys must be returned to mail operations in the envelope provided before you leave for the summer. Failure to turn in your key by May 24th will result in a $60 fee being charged to your accounts receivable bill. back to top
No, if you are going to be living on campus for the summer sessions you can retain your key, but you must register with Mail Services as a summer student via the Forwarding Form and complete a new box contract or your box will be automatically set to forwarding status and you will be charged for non-return of your key. back to top
You have 2 options. One you can do nothing and get the $60 charge applied to your accounts receivable, or if you pay the standard key replacement fee of $30 before May 24th with this will save you from being charged the full $60 lock change fee. back to top

Be sure to send in a secure/tear proof envelope. Also include your name and mailbox number with the key. Ail returned keys must be postmarked by May 24, 2013 in order to receive credit for the return. back to top
