The Tulane University Women’s Association, first called the Tulane University Club, was founded in 1909 by wives of the faculty and staff.

Membership is now open not only to the wives of faculty and staff, but also to all female faculty, staff, alumna, and Tulane volunteers.  In addition, all mothers and daughters of current members are invited to join as well. The goal of the Tulane University Women’s Association is to link old and new members of the University community through common interests, social events, and service to Tulane and New Orleans. Every year newcomers join activity groups and others find a welcoming niche through volunteer work. We hope that you will too.

TUWA has several activity groups that meet regularly. Some are long-standing and frequently we create new ones that reflect the changing interests of our members. We invite all of you to participate in our events, including our special projects and friendly gatherings.
