Goldring/Woldenberg Hall II houses the MBA program, the Master of Accounting program, the Master of Finance program, the Executive MBA and Professional MBA programs and the Office of Graduate Programs. A special wing dedicated to the Burkenroad Family -- the Burkenroad Center -- houses Burkenroad Reports and the Burkenroad Institute.
Goldring/Woldenberg Hall II also houses the Goldring Institute of International Business and two new centers: The Entergy-Tulane Energy Institute and the Lawrence Finance Center. The third floor is dedicated to the Stewart Center for Executive Education, including specially designed distance-learning Executive MBA classrooms, an executive dining room, lounge and kitchen, executive conference rooms, and administrative suites.
Designed by Waggonner & Ball Architects in New Orleans, Goldring/Woldenberg Hall II is a three- and part-four-story, 60,000 square foot facility. The building features a 130-seat lecture theater, four 65-seat case-method-style MBA classrooms, seminar rooms, breakout rooms, student government offices, and a state-of-the-art information systems laboratory. The technological centerpiece of the new building, however, is the Trading Center, a $1.5 million electronic trading room equipped with sophisticated simulation, trading and financial software including Kiodex, Crystal Ball and FEA. The Trading Center serves the Freeman School’s acclaimed experiential learning programs Burkenroad Reports and the Darwin Fenner Student Managed Fund as well as acts as a hands-on laboratory for the teaching of energy, risk management, equities and options.
