Forward All Calls

Activate: pick up handset & press *10 & the extension or 1400 to forward to voicemail. You should hear a tone.

Cancel: pick up hand set & press #10. You should hear a tone.

Forward Busy

Activate: pick up hand set & press *11 & the extension or 1400 to forward to voicemail. You should hear a tone.

Cancel: pick up hand set & press #11. You should hear a tone.

Forward No Answer

Activate: pick up hand set & press *12 & the extension or 1400 to forward to voicemail. You should hear a tone.

Cancel: pick up hand set & press #12. You should hear a tone.

Transfer a Call
(with a single line phone)

With the caller on the line, press Flash or Recall. Dial the extension to which you want to transfer him. Hang up after one ring or wait for the party to answer.

Place a Call on Hold
(with a single line phone)

Activate: press *13

To Retrieve: From the same phone, press #13. From another phone, press #31 & the extension of the phone that you used to put them on hold.

Call Pick Up

Direct: Press *16 & the extension that is ringing

Group: Press *15 (Telecommunications has to set it up.)

Conference Call
(using a single line phone)

Call the first person. When you have party on the line. Press the Flash button quickly. Call the second person. When you have party on the line, press the Flash button quickly. All three parties should be connected.

Conference Call
(using a display phone)

Call the first person. When you have party on the line, press the TRF or Transfer button. Call the second person. When you have party on the line, press the CNF or Conf (Conference) button. All three parties should be connected.

Call Back

If you call an on-campus number & it is busy, press Flash *14 or C/B on display phone & hang up. Your phone as well as their phone will ring when they hang up. Both parties will be connected when they pick up the handset.

Save & Repeat
(Using a display phone)

If you dial a number (on or off campus) and the line is busy or there is no answer, press S & R to save the number. You can dial other numbers until you are ready to dial this one again. Press S & R to automatically dial the saved number.

Last Number Redial

To dial the very last number that you called, press the LNR/SPD button. On Series III phones, press the LNR/SPD button & on the Series E phone press the Redial button up to 5 times to view the last 5 numbers dialed. When you see the number that you want to dial, press the * key.

Voice
(Using a display phone & must call a display phone)

With the Microphone and the Speaker button on, call another extension. When the phone rings once, press the Voice button to talk to the person hands free. Their Mic button must be "on" to talk to you without picking up their hand set.

 Do Not Disturb
(Must be added
to phone by
Telecommunications.)

Press the DND button. The caller will hear the ringing, but you will not. If your phone is on Forward No Answer to another number or voicemail, the call will go to that number or voicemail after approximately five rings.
