Innovative Technology and Support Services

Innovative Technology and Support Services is responsible for providing instructional support, Web application's development, on-site support, laptop walk-in support, and supervision of the University's technology Help Desk. The group is also responsible for arranging volume license software agreements, and software and hardware purchasing assistance.

Instructional support includes:

On-site support includes:

  • Technical assistance at your office/room location
  • Best-practice troubleshooting of computer-related problems
  • Virus prevention and removal
  • Installation of supported software applications

Laptop walk-in support - The Technology Services Station, offers:

  • Laptop and handheld support
  • Best-practice diagnosis of laptop problems
  • Maintenance functions such as virus prevention and removal
  • Wireless registration and Smartphone configuration

The Technology Help Desk (862-8888, or x8888) is:

  • Staffed by Blackboard Student Services
  • Located in Somerset Kentucky
  • Provides up to 60 agents for Tulane Help Desk calls
  • Provides first-level support for troubleshooting technology issues
  • Creates and escalates tickets needing further attention to 2nd Level (Specialized) Technology Services staff
