After February 8, 2013, Technology Services will discontinue the Greenspace online file storage service for most users. Box is replacing Greenspace as the file storage and sharing solution for Tulane faculty and staff. Faculty and staff can activate their accounts at https://tulane.box.com.
Only users fealing with HIPAA data will continue to have Greenspace accounts and access to their Greenspace data. Contact email@example.com to inquire about Greenspace HIPAA accounts.
Box online storage is like a hard drive in the cloud. Store documents and files in Box and then access them anywhere, anytime, from any device. Box also can sync files from your local hard disk automatically providing a backup that will always be available from other computers and devices. All Tulane faculty and staff have access to 25GB of storage in Box and can view and access their content anywhere, anytime, on any device.
All Tulane Faculty and staff have access to 25GB on Box. Students do not have access to a Tulane provisioned Box account but may create personal accounts directly with Box with 5GB of storage.
HIPAA protected data cannot be stored or shared using Box at this time. Tulane users demonstrating a need to store and share HIPAA protected data may continue to use Greenspace. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to ensure that your HIPAA Greenspace account remains available.
Faculty and staff can register online to activate their 25GB of secure storage on Box.com https://tulane.box.com.
Although the Tulane Box environment is only available to faculty and staff, students may create personal accounts directly with Box with 5GB of storage. Visit https://www.box.com to set up your box account. Please note that the password you set up with Box will not be synced with your Tulane password.
Microsoft’s Skydrive is also available to students as a cloud storage solution. Visit https://skydrive.live.com to set up your Skydrive account. Please note that the password you set up with Skydrive will not be synced with your Tulane password.
The myTulane myContent repository is a third option for storing student files. Visit https://mytulane.blackboard.com. Log in and click the myContent tab.
