There is a lot of Internet buzz regarding the Night Dragon Cyberattack and McAfee's efforts to thwart it. How does this threat affect the individual computer user, and what can you do to protect yourself? Tulane Technology services provides McAfee VirusScan software to the entire Tulane community free of charge. If you don't already have McAfee installed on your system:

• Download and install McAfee VirusScan

Once you have ViirusScan installed, do the following:

• Update your antivirus DATs to at least 6232 (click on the McAfee icon in the system tray and select About to see what version of the DAT file you have installed)

• Ensure on-demand scans are working properly
  
  
• Perform a full file system virus scan.
