Whitney National Bank's University Branch is conveniently located in the Lavin-Bernick Center on the uptown campus of Tulane University. In addition to a full-service branch bank, Whitney also has ATM's on the ground level of the Lavin-Bernick Center and on the 1st floor of the Reily Recreation Center.  There are additional Whitney Bank branches and ATM's throughout the New Orleans area.

The Reserve Account**:
A savings account that provides checking protection plus interest on your funds.

• Provides automatic transfer of funds to cover overdrafts on your personal checking account
• A secondary account that supports one personal checking account and is accessed by teller, ATM , online or by phone
• Balance can be used to qualify for Classic or Smart Checking
• Quarterly compounding and crediting of interest and a quarterly statement

To Apply for a Smart Checking Account or the Reserve Checking Account:
1. Click on www.whitneybank.com.  Choose Personal Banking, Checking Accounts, Smart Checking and click on "Apply Now".  For the Reserve Account, choose Personal Banking, Checking Accounts, The Reserve Account and click on "Apply Now".

2. While completing the application make sure: A. You put "TULANE STUDENT" in the Employment Information Section of the application. This is VERY IMPORTANT and tells us you are eligible for the offer and insures that your new account documents will be waiting for you at the Tulane University Branch. You provide your home address and your school address.

3. When you arrive on campus, stop by the Whitney Bank in the Lavin-Bernick Center to sign the signature card and make a deposit. Your checks will be ordered at that time and a starter pack of 8 temporary checks and your ATM card will be provided.
