Our Mission

Student Programs, a department in the division of Student Affairs, maximizes student learning, personal development and achievement in student organizations through advising and services. The Student Programs staff are educators committed to excellence in all areas of programming, leadership development and extracurricular learning.

Our Staff

Christine Haley
Director of Student Programs

Christine supervises the Office of Student Programs as well as all directors, activities and events that fall within the Office. She reviews contracts that your organization may want to enter into. Christine focuses on campus programming and works with departments throughout Student Affairs to help plan and organize events.

Jane Rushing
Associate Director of Student Programs

Jane supervises the budget process for all student organizations recognized by student governments. She can answer questions related to your organization's finances including budget proposals and payment methods for supplies or events. Jane also advises the Undergraduate Student Government and Graduate and Professional Student Association finance committees, helps coordinate events and FAQs and leads the monthly student organization adviser meetings.

Tel François Bailliet

Tel advises all media organizations: The Hullabaloo newspaper, WTUL radio (91.5-FM), TUBE-TV, Literary Society/Tulane Review, Messenger multicultural newspaper, Media Board and the Tulane Journal of International Affairs. She co-advises many academic and political organizations. In addition, contact Tel if your organization needs an email, listserv or web account. Tel assists with planning department-sponsored events and manages the student organizations database.

Jered Bocage
Assistant Director of Student Programs

Jered advises undergraduate and graduate student governments and can answer questions about student government, Homecoming Court, how to start a new organization, or any other student organization-related questions. Jered is the organizer behind the Tidal Wave Homecoming Committee and Crawfest Committee. He reviews contracts and coordinates events like the Student Crest Awards. Jered serves on several university committees, and is the backup for Motor Pool issues and functions when Adrien is out of the office.

Greg Feiling
Assistant Director of Student Programs

Greg advises Tulane University Campus Programming and performance organizations, such as THEM, Green Envy and more. Greg also leads the Tulane After Dark programming series. He reviews contracts and helps groups with any large-scale event planning. Greg plans Student Programs events, such as the weekly FAQ and Activities Expo. Greg is also the adviser for most interest organizations, such as Juggling Club and Humans vs. Zombies.

Vanessa King
Executive Secretary

Vanessa manages the preferred vendors list, accepts and processes student organization event registration forms and contracts and payment forms. Vanessa is a great resource for students and organizations working with the event planning process.

Adrien McElroy
Student Organization Resource Associate

Adrien advises the Associated Student Body Motor Pool, schedules reservations and certifications for van use and oversees the maintenance of the vehicles. Adrien advises the Hullabaloo advertising and business staff and helps WTUL track its fundraising efforts. Adrien also advises Students Organized Against Racism (SOAR).

Peter Young
Program Coordinator

Peter helps advise the Undergraduate Student Government, the Tidal Wave Homecoming Committee and Crawfest. He manages all campus-wide elections and advises the USG Awards and Elections Committee. Peter oversees the Student Organization Center and all of its resources and advises Alpha Kappa Psi and Kappa Delta Phi student organizations.
