Organizations & Programs

The Office of Student Programs is dedicated to helping the more than 200 recognized student organizations at Tulane and their members with training, information and support. In addition, Student Programs plans and hosts many events for students throughout the year.


 

Announcements and Events

FALL WELCOME 9 a.m., Friday, August 21. Fall Welcome is Tulane's kick-off of the new academic year with programming and activities just for new students as well as events to welcome back returning students. Fall Welcome begins with Move-In Day on Friday, August 21, 2015, when hundreds of student volunteers will greet new students on campus and help them move into their residence halls. Move-In begins at 9:00 a.m.

FIRST FEST 8 - 11 p.m., Saturday, August 22 on the LBC Quad. Enjoy your first Tulane concert and festival!

YELL FOR YULMAN 6 - 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 25 in Yulman Stadium. Come to Yulman Stadium to meet the Tulane football team and head coach Curtis Johnson.  Students will have the chance to get on the field and take part in on field football drills with the 2015 Tulane football team. Game day chants and cheers will be led by the team and cheerleaders. Students will have the chance to tour the athletic facilities and team weight and locker rooms. Free food, drinks and giveaways to follow! Roll Wave!!

STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS ACTIVITIES EXPO 5 - 7 p.m., Thursday, August 27 on the LBC Quad. Come out to the LBC Quad and learn about all of the amazing student organizations at Tulane.  Get a chance to meet student leaders, hear first hand about the organizations and sign up for one of the over 200 student organizations at Tulane.

1ST FRIDAYS AT THE QUAD 4 - 6 p.m., Friday, August 28 on the LBC Quad. Fridays at the Quad are a Tulane tradition and a great way to unwind after a week of classes. Join students, faculty, staff and friends for music and fun every warm-season Friday of the academic year.

WELCOME BACK STUDENT ORGANIZATION MEETING 6 - 7 p.m., Tuesday, September 1 in Rogers Memorial Chapel. This meeting covers all the basic information student organizations need to operate. Make sure to attend this event to find out about new policies, changes to procedure and lots of tips and tricks to make your life as a student organization leader easier. Welcome Back is a "one-stop shop" for all issues concerning student organizations including:

SOC OPEN HOUSE 4 - 6 p.m., Tuesday, September 8 in the Student Organization Center, G11 LBC. Meet the 2015 SOCretaries and the Office of Student Programs staff and learn about the involvement opportunities available through the Student Organization Center. No SOC Open House would be complete without food, drinks, games, music and fun, so make sure to drop in and see everything that the SOC has to offer!
