Current Position and Responsibilities:

Executive Director of the Center for Educational Resources and Counseling

Dr. Rovaris is responsible for managing and overseeing the operations and services of the Center for Educational Resources and Counseling, which includes mental health counseling, psychological testing, learning disability testing, career testing, tutoring and disability services. She also provides some personal, academic, and/or career counseling to students for the purpose of eliminating symptomatic, undesired or maladaptive behavior(s) while improving interpersonal relationships, academic adjustment, academic performance, study skills, and overall personal effectiveness.

Dr. Rovaris also represents the Center to other university departments and offices, as well as, the division, university, and department on a number of committees, task forces and advisory boards.

Previous Experience:

From 1989 to 1994, Dr. Rovaris served as a Senior Counselor in the Center. In 1994, she became the Assistant Director followed by the Associate Director. In 2002, Dr. Rovaris became the Executive Director of the Center. Prior to Tulane, she counseled at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Xavier University of Louisiana.
