Welcome to Tulane

Welcome Week in August is your introduction to life at Tulane University. Beginning with Move-in Day on Saturday, August 27, 2011, we will have hundreds of volunteers available to help you move into your residence hall. Throughout the weekend we will inaugurate you into Tulane traditions--and your parents can participate, too. You will meet the deans, faculty members and other staff who will help you learn amazing things over the next few years. Programs including parents and families end at 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 28, 2011.  Your first college classes will begin on Monday, August 29, 2011. Through a variety of social, cultural and recreational activities in the evenings you will meet your fellow classmates. Our student staff will guide you through the week so that you always have an experienced Tulanian close at hand to answer your questions.

It will be one of the most memorable weeks of your life.
