The Panhellenic Council is the unifying, governing, and coordinating body of the National Panhellenic Conference groups at Tulane. It acts as a link between sororities, campus organizations, and administration, providing enrichment to all sorority members.
The council consists of two representatives from each chapter and an executive council of 11 members. The council plans events and discusses issues facing the Greek community. Through its programs, Panhellenic is an important part of the Greek system, promoting and maintaining a stronger Greek Community.
We hope you will consider Alpha Delta Pi, the newest sorority at Tulane!
For more than 162 years, extraordinary women have called Alpha Delta Pi home. The first secret society for women, Alpha Delta Pi, originally called the “Adelphean Society,” forged the way for women in the fraternity system. ADPi’s founding took place at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia—the first college in the world chartered to grant degrees to women.
As a sorority of firsts, ADPi is also a sisterhood of friends, a family of individuals, a home away from home. We embrace every woman’s uniqueness. We encourage and support each other’s goals and dreams. And we value character above all else. Since our founding in 1851, Alpha Delta Pi has endured and stayed true to its ideals: scholarship, high principles of conduct and true friendships. Today, more than 235,000 initiated members from more than 200 collegiate chapters throughout the United States and Canada are proud to call Alpha Delta Pi their home.
Being a member of a new sorority is a powerful experience. Founding members of ADPi will be forging the path for ADPi on campus and will leave Tulane with the knowledge that they’ve been an integral part of creating a sorority that will serve as a home to future generations of women.
Alpha Delta Pi’s colonization recruitment process will kick off on Sunday, September 8th. ADPi will be seeking sophomores, juniors and seniors to become founding members of our new chapter at Tulane. Interested students will have an opportunity to sign up for ADPi’s recruitment process through their Facebook page (facebook.com/TulaneADPi) beginning on Monday, August 26th.
