The Neuroscience Major at Tulane reflects the interdisciplinary nature of the field of neuroscience. Courses in the neuroscience major comprise the fields of Psychology, Cell & Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, and Physics.

Master’s Program
The 1-Year Master’s Program is for students with science backgrounds who wish to expand their knowledge of neuroscience before heading on to medical school, a PhD program, or the workplace. The program is primarily course-based, but includes clinical and research opportunities.

PhD Program
The PhD Program exposes students to exceptional advanced neuroscience instruction and cutting-edge research techniques. Neuroscience draws faculty from several departments including Cell & Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Psychology, Physiology and Pharmacology.

Research
Tulane accommodates a diversity of experimental interests with an overarching focus on pain, stress and learning & memory. Students may work in labs on the main campus, at the medical school, and at the Tulane National Primate Center.
