Policy on Combining EENS Majors and Minors

Because the undergraduate majors (B.S. in Geology and B.S. in Environmental Sciences) are distinct from one another, students are allowed to major in one and minor in the other, provided that no course within the department counts both towards a student's major and minor.

In terms of double majors, the department will allow a double major in Geology and Environmental Science only if the student is pursuing the biology track of the Environmental Science major. Courses within the department cannot be used to fulfill both majors.

Students must consult with the undergraduate major advisers to construct a program of study that is complimentary, rather than redundant.
