We offer a Ph.D. and M.S. degree in Earth and Environmental Sciences. Graduate students in our department are involved in a wide range of research, from investigating ice shelves in Antarctica to river channel morphology in Hawaii, including studies of the Mississippi delta and river systems in our backyard laboratory.

Ph.D. Student, Elizabeth Williams, has been awarded a $1000 grant for her proposal, "The effect of increased salinity on carbon-cycling in coastal Louisiana wetland sediments."
