Our main research interest in the Schrader lab is investigating the regulation of neuronal excitability by ion channels. This research is relevant to normal plasticity processes, such as learning and memory and pathological processes such as epilepsy. Techniques include: patch clamp electrophysiology in brain slices, behavioral paradigms, molecular biology and biochemistry. Visit the Techniques section and linked publications to learn more!
