Each year, the Department recognizes students and faculty who’ve achieved notable success in scholarship, research and teaching. At this year’s ceremony, we honored:

| Joyous and William C. Van Buskirk Graduate Student Fellowship: Named in honor of the Founding Chair of the Department of Biomedical Engineering and his wife. The award is generally for a BS-MS student who is entering the fifth year of study. |

| Graduate Student Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award: Honors outstanding service as a Teaching Assistant in Biomedical Engineering, based on a vote of undergraduate students in Biomedical Engineering. |
