Frank A. Glaviano, Sr

Frank joined Shell in 1976 following graduation from Tulane University in New Orleans, USA, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and an MBA. Following an initial training assignment, Frank began his career as a Production Engineer working several major Gulf of Mexico assets. He was involved in developing some of Shell's first sour production in the area. Later Frank became a Reservoir Engineer, doing primary development subsurface planning for newly discovered fields. In 1980 he became a Reservoir Engineering supervisor for Gulf of Mexico fields.

Over the course of his career Frank has held numerous engineering and operations managerial positions located in Houston, New Orleans and Traverse City, Michigan. He was at one time the Development Engineering Manager for Shell's Frontier Division, with responsibility for drilling some of the first deepwater Gulf of Mexico wells and for conducting development feasibility studies. At another point, Frank led the formation of Shell Offshore Ventures, an effort to pursue growth opportunities, primarily in the deepwater gas pipeline and offshore telecommunications businesses. Later he was a Shelf Asset Manager and also had responsibility for all Gulf of Mexico aviation and marine logistics. Recently, Frank was the Gulf of Mexico East Asset Manager, which included the Mars, Ursa and Ram-Powell Tension Leg Platforms. These were major, complex installations involving the coordination of simultaneous operations and the safety of hundreds of Shell and contract employees.

Currently, Frank is Vice President Production for Shell's Americas Region with responsibility for assets in the United States, Venezuela, Brasil and Argentina.

Frank and his wife Marie are both natives of New Orleans and reside in Mandeville, Louisiana. They have three children: Angela, Elena, and Frankie.
