E. "Chip" Morrison, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, CCRN
Edward S. "Chip" Morrison, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, CCRN joined the Tulane University Heart and Vascular Institute in 2012 after working in the Cardiac Critical Care Unit at Tulane for several years. He is an Instructor of Clinical Medicine and oversees the Anticoagulation Clinic. In addition, Mr. Morrison provides Primary Care Clinic support for the Heart and Vascular Institute. Mr. Morrison is a member of the Professional Advisory Group for Clinical Pastoral Education program at Tulane University Hospital. He also serves as the clinic representative of the Code Blue Committee.
In the community, Mr. Morrison is an active volunteer. He is the Medical Advisor and Member of the Board of Directors for Helping Others Worldwide, and International NGO that provides support to children in war torn Sierra Leone. He also works with Tulane undergraduate medical students traveling on oversees medical missions by providing medicine and supplies through the International Hospital for Children (IHC), a not-for-profit organization based in New Orleans. As a past Board of Directors Member and current volunteer with IHC, Mr. Morrison helps maintain a network of donated supplies that are shipped to Russia, Central America, South America and the Caribbean. He has personally traveled for medical mission work to Costa Rica as a volunteer with the Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children.
Mr. Morrison earned his Master's in Nursing from Loyola University New Orleans, Bachelor of Science at Louisiana State University, and his initial degree in Nursing from Charity School of Nursing. He belongs to several professional organizations including American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the National Lipid Association.
