The Southern Group on Educational Affairs (SGEA) is undertaking a regional initiative to promote discourse around the topic of Interprofessional Education (IPE). Submissions on strategies to develop or evaluate IPE courses, to assess attitudes toward IPE, or to design innovative methods for teaching or measuring IPE skills across members of the health care team are welcome. In developing submissions to the SGEA meeting, we encourage collaborative projects from several SGEA member institutions or from faculty representing several health disciplines within a singular institution. IPE submissions will be considered as part of an "IPE track" where we intend to offer IPE- oriented sessions across the entire SGEA program.
Interprofessional education (IPE) is any type of educational, training, teaching or learning session in which two or more health and social care professions are learning interactively.
