The annual School of Medicine's Teaching Scholar Award Ceremony & Education Day: Research in Medical Education will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013.  It will recognize the innovative education and educational research of faculty, staff, residents and students from the School of Medicine and the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.

The objectives for Education Day are:

• To promote the scholarship of teaching at Tulane University Health Sciences Center.
• To provide faculty, fellows, residents, and students in the School of Medicine and the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine with the opportunity to present new and innovative work in health sciences education.
• To honor faculty members nominated for and selected as recipients of the School of Medicine's 2013 Teaching Scholars Award
