Dr. Paul Friedlander is a fellowship trained Head and Neck oncology surgeon, and is a specialist in the treatment of diseases of the head and neck including cancers of the mouth, tongue and throat (larynx), pharynx, and benign and malignant salivary gland tumors. His advanced surgical techniques include laryngeal conservation in the treatment of laryngeal cancers, circumferential pharyngoesophageal reconstruction, mandible-sparing procedures for oral cavity tumors, and trans-oral robotic assisted procedures.

Dr. Friedlander attended the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans followed by an Otolaryngology residency at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine and a Head and Neck Surgery Fellowship at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons and is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. Dr. Friedlander is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgeons and is an American Cancer Society liaison physician.

Dr. Friedlander has been a primary and collaborative investigator in multiple ground breaking clinical trials and surgical techniques related to the treatment of head and neck diseases. He has made numerous presentations and authored book chapters, abstracts, and peer reviewed articles on diseases of the head and neck, as well as head and neck surgery.

In addition to maintaining an active clinical practice and training surgical residents Dr. Friedlander directs a research team that is focused on investigating diseases of the head and neck, and leads a community-wide effort to raise awareness of oral cancers.

Dr. Rizwan Aslam is a fellowship trained Head and Neck oncology surgeon, and is a specialist in the surgical treatment of diseases of the head and neck including cancers of the mouth, tongue and throat (larynx), pharynx, and benign and malignant salivary gland tumors.  He is a recognized authority in airway reconstruction and microvascular reconstruction of the head and neck, and conducts research into advanced surgical techniques for head and neck diseases.

Dr. Aslam attended the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his General Surgery Internship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by a Head and Neck Oncology – Microvascular Reconstruction Fellowship at the University of Cincinnati - College of Medicine.  He is board-certified and is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and the American Head and Neck Society, and participates in a community-wide outreach effort to raise awareness of oral cancers.

Dr. Aslam has been a primary and collaborative investigator in multiple research projects related to the clinical and surgical treatment of head and neck diseases and has made presentations and authored abstracts and articles related to head and neck radiology, pharyngoesophageal injuries, human papilloma virus and the link to head and neck cancer, and surgical management of thyroid disease.
