Nutrition therapy in patients with heritable metabolic disease
Kea Spencer Crivelly is a Metabolic Nutritionist with Tulane Hayward Genetics Center. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA and her Master’s degree in Dietetics and Nutrition from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. As part of the Clinical Team, Kea sees metabolic patients of all ages throughout the state of Louisiana and aids in their dietary treatment and disease management. Kea is a member of the American Dietetic Association (ADA) and their Pediatric Specialty subgroup. She is a member of the Genetic Metabolic Dietitians International (GMDI), where she is a committee member for both the Editorial Committee which creates a newsletter biannually and the Technology Committee which is developing and improving the first nutrient analysis program specially designed for Metabolic Dietitians. Kea is also a member of the Southeast Regional Genetics Group (SERGG). Kea enjoys organizing cooking classes and gatherings for her patients to help them be exposed to new food ideas and to each other!
