About Graduation
When and where will diploma ceremony be held?
Tulane School of Medicine's Diploma Ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, enter Hall H. The program will start at 2 p.m. and the doors open at 1:00pm.

What time do the doors open?
The doors open at 1:00 p.m. The program starts at 2 p.m.
Do I need tickets for Graduation?
No, tickets are not required for Graduation.
Can I take pictures at graduation?
Yes, however, we ask that you remain behind the ropes and return to your seat as soon as possible in order to allow other families and friends to see their graduate.
Is there reserved seating?
There is no reserved seating for guests. However, seating is reserved for graduation students, faculty and hooders.
What about attendees in wheelchairs?
Guests with wheelchair needs, please bring your own. There is a drop off area in front of Hall H at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Right inside the center there is an elevator to take you to the New Orleans Theater, mid-house level. There are designated sections accessible for wheelchairs.
Is there a reception or luncheon following the event?
Once the graduation ceremony is over, there will be a dessert reception to follow. Please continue the celebration at one of the many restaurants in New Orleans.
Will parking be available?
Ample parking is available across from the Convention Center in Lot J for a fee $10.00 cash.
Is Shuttle Bus Service Available?
If you are parking at the Superdome for the Unified Graduation and would like free shuttle bus service to and from the Convention Center, here is information:
Following the Unified Commencement Ceremony, shuttle buses will make continuous loops from Superdome Gate A from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, stopping at Hall H for the Medical School Diploma Ceremony and Hall A for the Law School Diploma Ceremony. Post-ceremony shuttle buses will resume from the convention center stops to the Superdome Gate A ramp from 3:30 to 5 p.m., where guests can catch shuttles back to the uptown campus or just get their parked cars. Parking at the dome is $10.00 cash.
