MD, West Virginia University (1993) Urologic residency at West Virginia University in Morgantown (1999) Urologic Oncology fellowship at University of Washington in Seattle (2001) Assistant and Associate Professor at the University of Alabama-Birmingham (until 2010) Fellow in Laparoscopic and Robotic at Tulane University (2010-current) Specialization in diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of urologic malignancies. Extensive expertise in multimodal and surgical approaches to complex problems and has a strong interest in treatments for bladder, kidney, prostate, and testicular cancer. Expertise in Urologic Reconstruction and Trauma. Extensive experience in bladder reconstruction/augmentation, repair of urinary fistulas, urethral strictures, and ureteral reconstruction. Research interests include epidemiology of urologic disease, prostate, kidney and bladder cancer outcomes, including prostate, kidney, and bladder cancer screening, and outcomes of urologic surgery and treatments. Additional interests include identification of bio-markers for prostate, kidney, and bladder cancer to aid in early detection of diseases.Extensive publications and is widely known for work in epidemiology and the identification of risk factors in urologic malignancies. |
